About the Role
This 3+ year on-site contract in Boston, MA, seeks a Systems Administrator to maintain the operation of multi-user computer systems, bridging infrastructure and cloud responsibilities. The role is designed for a professional with an Active Secret Clearance who will develop and design core operating system builds while handling the coding, virtualization, and automation of systems.
In this position, you will serve as a critical point of escalation for major incidents unresolved at the helpdesk level. Your day-to-day involves coordinating infrastructure, tuning system performance, and managing capacity planning. You will draft general IT communications to end-users regarding outages or downtimes and evaluate vendor products to establish monitoring and tracking processes.
