Our employees design, integrate, and test the world's next generation Electronic Warfare (EW) systems for the United States Department of Defense and international customers. As the U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, Electronic Systems is the global innovator behind game-changing defense and commercial electronics. We exploit every electron to push the limits of what is possible, giving our customers the edge and our employees opportunities to change the world. From the depths of the ocean to the far reaches of space, our products and capabilities make an impact for our customers and the communities we serve.
Our mission is ambitious but clear: "We Protect Those Who Protect Us®." Working here means using your passion and ingenuity where it counts—defending national security with breakthrough technology, superior products, and intelligence solutions. You will be among the brightest minds in the industry, tackling aerospace and defense's most difficult problems while developing highly sophisticated digital EW systems for detecting, locating, and countering threats for US and international aircrew.
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and capable engineer to lead our System Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) team. This is a unique dual-role position designed for an Engineering People Leader who also wishes to remain a Technical Contributor. You will not only lead a team of 30-40 systems engineers but also actively participate in programs as a hands-on contributor. This managed balance enables you to keep your technical skills sharp while managing your team, fulfilling your desire to be a leader while progressing your expertise in EW product development.\n As the SEIT lead, you will report directly to the Director of Systems Engineering. You will be integral in transforming this leadership team to meet the evolving needs of our business and customers. You will champion the application of system engineering processes, methods, and culture, driving the adoption of new methods such as digital engineering, GenAI, and model-based engineering to increase efficiency and product quality. Whether you are expanding the vision of system engineering leadership, optimizing team performance through data and metrics, or leading a program system engineering team through the product lifecycle, your work will directly influence the future of our EW solutions.
This position will be posted for at least 5 calendar days. The posting will remain active until the position is filled or a qualified pool of candidates is identified. Candidates are encouraged to apply to join a team where they can continually hone their skills and make a big impact on a global scale.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and the nature of this particular role, this position will be performed full-time onsite.
