System Engineer - (C) DLIFLC with Security Clearance

About the Role

The System Engineer serves as a critical pillar within the Data Center Support Group at DLIFLC, ensuring the configuration, security, and operational integrity of a complex hybrid cloud and data center environment. This role is dedicated to managing the full lifecycle of domain system servers, storage solutions (SAN/NAS), backup systems, and identity management infrastructure. The position exists to maintain high availability and business continuity for mission-critical systems, supporting development, staging, and production environments across multiple sites.

In this dynamic, multi-site environment, you will collaborate closely with IT, cybersecurity, and application development teams to uphold strict DoD and Army standards. Your day-to-day involves planning, installing, and troubleshooting system servers and applications, with a commitment to providing after-hours and emergency support when required. You will also provide technical guidance to other IT personnel and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, security, and disaster recovery operations.

Location and Travel

This position is based in Monterey, CA, at the Presidio of Monterey. The role requires travel to additional sites including Hawaii, Arizona, Virginia, and other CONUS/OCONUS locations as outlined in the Performance Work Statement.

Security and Clearance
