About the Team

The Port Corpus Christi Authority (PCCA) Police Department is dedicated to servicing and protecting the Port's tenants, customers, employees, visitors, and property. As a vital component of our law enforcement team, the Surveillance Analyst/Dispatcher serves as the critical communication link between PCCA police and security personnel, other law enforcement agencies, and the public.

About the Role

Under the supervision of the Surveillance Analyst/Dispatcher Supervisor, you will operate as the nerve center of Port security. Your primary mission is to observe and operate interactive video surveillance systems and intelligent video analytics to detect intrusions or unauthorized activity within the Port boundaries. You will act swiftly to take necessary action in response to observed threats.

In this role, you will manage the flow of information using computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and records management systems (RMS) to assign calls, analyze data, and maintain accurate records. You will coordinate vessel movements and dock conditions with the Harbormaster and utilize the Automatic Vehicle Locator (AVL) and Gulf Coast Law Enforcement Information Exchange Database to track police resources and support investigations. Your day-to-day involves communicating with a wide array of partners, including the Coast Guard, Sheriff, Fire & Emergency Medical Services, and federal agencies, ensuring a unified and professional response to all incidents.

You will also serve as the first point of contact for the public, receiving and assessing calls for service while maintaining high ethical standards. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency with security software and the interpersonal skills to foster a safe, helpful environment where teamwork prevails. You may occasionally perform receptionist or administrative duties and drive vehicles to complete assigned tasks.

Hiring Process

Interested and qualified candidates must apply online at www.portofcc.com on or before May 20, 2026, at 11:59 PM CST. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation, post-offer physical exam, drug screening, psychological evaluation, and verification of all provided information and qualifications.

Equal Opportunity

As part of our dedication to the diversity of our workforce, PCCA is committed to Equal Employment Opportunity. Applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard for race, color, gender, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, military status, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, or any other protected group status.

The Energy Port of the Americas!

Port Corpus Christi operates as a premier maritime transportation hub within the energy sector, headquartered in Corpus Christi, Texas. As the largest port in the United States by total revenue tonnage, it serves as a critical leader in U.S. crude oil exports and a significant economic driver for the state and the nation. Strategically positioned on the western Gulf of Mexico, the facility functions as a primary gateway for both international and domestic maritime commerce, featuring a deepening channel designed to accommodate substantial vessel traffic. The port maintains robust logistical connectivity through an extensive network including three North American Class-1 railroads and two major interstate highways. This infrastructure supports its role in moving America's energy resources efficiently.
