About the Role

Located in the Urology Department at the Health Transformation Building in Austin, TX, this position serves as the operational backbone for our surgical services. You will coordinate OR surgery schedules to maximize the efficient use of operating rooms, equipment, and staff. Your day involves partnering with physician offices to gather necessary information, ensuring surgeries align with department guidelines while accommodating both physician requests and patient needs. You will assign operating suites and block times to optimize resources and ensure all demographic, billing, and insurance data is accurately entered into electronic medical records to prevent delays. Additionally, you will manage the dynamic nature of surgical schedules by rescheduling cases as needed to accommodate emergencies or unanticipated events.
