Located at the Lamar Building on Thirty Second Street in Austin, TX, this position serves as a critical operational hub within our OBGYN Clinic. You will be the bridge between clinical scheduling and patient readiness, ensuring the smooth flow of high-volume surgical workqueues. Your day will involve systematically monitoring Athena/EMR "surgery buckets" to prioritize and book procedures, while proactively contacting patients to coordinate dates and prevent care delays.
Beyond scheduling, you will play a vital role in financial clearance and patient counseling. You will secure prior authorizations for specialized in-office procedures and communicate out-of-pocket costs, deductibles, and financial responsibilities to patients with clarity and empathy. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to maintain data integrity and regulatory compliance within the EHR system, ensuring every interaction supports the patient's journey to care.

Previous experience navigating medical scheduling modules within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Strong command of medical and surgical terminology. Solid understanding of insurance verification, benefit structures, and the prior authorization process for specialized procedures. Exceptional communication and phone etiquette. Persistent organization skills with the ability to self-manage a high-volume patient backlog.
