The County of Riverside's Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) is comprised of employees who work collectively and in partnership with community-based organizations to serve the needs of the community. The Facilities Support Division, specifically the Facilities Warehouse & Special Projects Unit, ensures that DPSS facilities operate smoothly to support these vital services.
This position serves as a Support Services Technician within the Facilities Support Division, located in Riverside. You will work under the direction of the Support Services Supervisor and Senior Support Services Technician to support the day-to-day operations of DPSS facilities. The role is dynamic and requires travel throughout the County of Riverside, including the desert regions.
In this role, you will act as a liaison in the field with vendors, contractors, and property management. Your day-to-day activities will involve managing the warehouse and workshop, including organizing, receiving, loading, and unloading supplies and equipment from vendor trucks. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move pallets and ensure inventory is inspected for damage and quantity against requisitions and invoices. Additionally, you will provide building access for after-hours work and maintain logs for supply inventory, equipment, and vehicle maintenance.
