Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLead and enforce structured problem solving across Magna Exteriors divisions and the supply base
- check_circleOwn root cause identification of supplier manufacturing issues and force rapid quality containment
- check_circleDrive and elevate supplier quality performance at the corporate level through accountability
- check_circleAudit, challenge, and enforce adherence to required manufacturing and quality standards
- check_circleProvide decisive oversight and governance for high-risk and critical new program launches
- check_circleExecute Reverse PFMEAs and floor control plan assessments at supplier sites to verify process robustness
- check_circleServe as the corporate authority for IATF compliance including internal audits and procedure governance
- check_circleLead turnaround activities with designated problem suppliers and validate corrective actions
Requirements
- verifiedIATF lead auditor certification preferred
- verifiedASQ CQE certification preferred or required by end of 2027
- verifiedFive years' experience in quality, engineering and/or manufacturing
- verifiedProficient in print reading, part measurement, gage design and function
- verifiedDemonstrated knowledge of GD&T
- verifiedDemonstrated knowledge of manufacturing and assembly plant processes
- verifiedDemonstrated knowledge of statistical quality control and design of experiments
- verifiedBachelor's degree preferred in Engineering or related field
- verifiedSix Sigma Black Belt or equivalent preferred
- verified8–12 years in Automotive Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Engineering
Nice to Have
IATF lead auditor certification. ASQ CQE certification (or commitment to obtain by end of 2027). Bachelor's degree. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing, Welding, Plastics, Materials, Chemical) or equivalent Technical Degree (Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics). Technical and Quality Certifications. Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent.
