About the Role

This position serves as the Supervisor for the night shift Respiratory Care staff, acting as a critical bridge between management and the Respiratory Care Technicians (RC techs) and Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs). The role is designed to ensure the night shift operates with clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and a supportive team culture.

In this capacity, you will assist the manager in the full lifecycle of staff management, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling. Beyond administrative duties, you will be the primary point of contact for ordering and monitoring the usage of all Respiratory Care supplies and equipment, ensuring the department is always stocked and ready for patient needs.

Your day will involve coaching, precepting, and developing night shift staff in both professionalism and technical skills. You will be responsible for evaluating therapy provided to ensure it meets optimal care standards consistent with departmental policies. As a role model, you will demonstrate competency in clinical judgment and technical skills while maintaining a calm, empathetic presence to help the team navigate changing workforce needs and conflicts. You will also track inventories, ensure equipment is clean and processed, and participate in performance improvement data gathering to measure clinical practice administration.
