This position serves as a critical leader in the supervision of cost-effective and timely maintenance work for utilities systems and production operations. The role exists to direct, coordinate, and support maintenance personnel, ensuring the reliable operation of plant assets. You will act as the bridge between strategic planning and on-the-ground execution, managing the flow of work from proactive forecasting to emergency response.
In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with the Fluid Utilities Planner, Facility Refrigeration Engineer, and PSM Coordinator to establish priorities and schedule all planned and emergent work. Your day-to-day involves monitoring labor utilization, reviewing completed work patterns to transition non-scheduled tasks into proactive maintenance, and ensuring root cause analysis programs are effectively implemented. You will also be responsible for guiding refrigeration technicians through skills progression, ensuring regulatory compliance, and resolving employee relations matters in partnership with HR.
Candidates selected for this role will be evaluated based on their technical expertise in ammonia refrigeration and steam power systems, as well as their ability to lead teams and manage complex operational challenges. The selection process focuses on identifying individuals who can demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in facility-specific programs, and the interpersonal skills necessary to lead change and resolve conflict.
