The Field Service Supervisor (FSS) serves as a vital leader within the Carl Zeiss Meditec organization, supervising Field Service Engineers (FSEs) to ensure excellence in work assignments, expense control, and customer satisfaction. This role is designed to drive the profitability, productivity, and efficiency of a specific territory, acting as the bridge between technical execution and business strategy.
In this position, you will manage the workload of your team, handle escalations from both internal and external customers, and collaborate closely with Service Coordinators, Sales Managers, and Distributor Partners. You will represent Carl Zeiss Meditec at tradeshows and conventions, working to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and service profitability. The role requires a balance of operational oversight and strategic growth, ensuring that the territory operates as a successful individual profit center while fostering the professional development of the engineering team.
This position is located in the Southern US, covering the best places in Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, or Louisiana. The role involves a moderate amount of overnight air and ground travel within the US and internationally for training, meetings, and exhibit support.

BS degree (or equivalent experience). Two years of experience in the eye care industry. Thorough understanding of ophthalmic anatomy and diseases of the eye. CCOA certification. Supervisory or managerial experience. Strong business acumen. Broad technical knowledge of CZMI instrumentation and/or industry expertise and/or unique technical knowledge that may apply to one or more product lines.
