Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores, seeking dynamic individuals to join our facilities maintenance teams. As the U.S.'s largest private employer, we aim to create a culture where every associate feels valued for who they are, rooted in respect for the individual. Our vision is "everyone included," fostering a workplace where everyone is—and feels—included. Approximately 90% of the U.S. population lives within 10 miles of a Walmart or Sam's Club, and our associates reflect the makeup of all of America and the 18 other countries where we operate.
As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician, you will be the backbone of our facility's cold chain integrity. In this fast-paced and welcoming environment, you will support and oversee repairs within the Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets. Your day-to-day involves utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills alongside hand tools, digital tools, and power equipment to diagnose and resolve issues. You will be the first responder to emergency maintenance calls, ensuring minimal disruption to store operations and customer experience. By documenting repair activities in our work order management system and collaborating with store associates, you help maintain the quality food and goods at everyday low prices that our customers rely on.
To bring your skills to our team, please submit your application online. Candidates must possess relevant experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance and hold the necessary EPA certifications. The process includes a review of qualifications, including a valid state-issued driver's license and a clean driving record, followed by an interview to assess technical fit and alignment with our culture.
Walmart is an Equal Opportunity Employer-By Choice. We believe we are best equipped to help our associates, customers, and the communities we serve live better when we really know them. That means understanding, respecting, and valuing unique styles, experiences, identities, abilities, ideas, and opinions while welcoming all people. Our policies promote fairness and the same treatment for all associates, ensuring everyone has the same access to opportunities for growth, development, and advancement. We transparently report on our workforce twice a year and maintain associate resource groups to further engagement and community.
Beyond the workplace, we are one of the most charitable companies in the Fortune 500, giving away over 8% of our profits to strengthen the communities where we operate. We also operate sensory-friendly hours in all stores and offer specialized tools like Caroline's Carts to ensure our environment is accessible to everyone.
