About the Team
The Boys & Girls Clubs of NE Florida is dedicated to enabling all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. This position is part of a team-oriented Club staff at Fort Caroline Elementary, committed to serving youth and creating an optimal Club Experience.
About the Role
The Education Youth Development Professional plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all Club members graduate from high school on time, ready for post-secondary education and a 21st-century career. You will be the architect of a safe, positive environment where youth development principles are woven into art programs, character development, and culturally diverse activities.
In this role, you will plan, supervise, and implement high-yield activities and targeted programs with a focus on health and life skills. Your day will involve guiding youth through educational pathways like Career Launch, Computer Science Pathway, and DIY STEM, while also assessing developmental needs to create outcome-driven experiences. You will act as a role model, helping members make appropriate choices regarding their education, career, and personal well-being. From managing student grades to organizing field trips and guest speakers, you will ensure the Club's appearance and quality remain top-tier while fostering a culture of success.
Hiring Process
Candidates must be able to pass a DCF Level II background screening and a drug test. The selection process focuses on identifying individuals with a genuine passion for youth development and the ability to motivate young people.
