We are in a business of people serving people, and our Team Members are key to the delivery of our world-class guest service by creating exceptional experiences every day. The Hospitality Summer Assistant is an entry-level, seasonal/temporary position designed to work across various departments to support the delivery of guest service and operational excellence.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain summer work experience alongside established operations managers and team members. You will play a valuable role in positively impacting our guest experience while becoming a part of the whole team and the Hilton family. It is a chance to learn about the hospitality industry, meet and network with hotel industry leaders, and explore opportunities to grow within the company.
As a Hospitality Summer Assistant, you will move through and around the hotel during each shift worked. The role requires physical agility, including standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and navigating narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, as well as stairs and service ramps. You may also work outdoors as needed.
Your duties will involve reading and visually verifying information in various formats, including small print, and communicating ideas clearly so others understand. You will be responsible for exchanging accurate information and performing essential functions such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Success in this role requires the ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Schedules may fluctuate based on business demands, and team members may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer. Flexibility and the ability to carry out reasonable requests from the hotel leadership team are critical to delivering the best service to our guests and our business at all times.
Working as a Hospitality Summer Assistant means joining a fun and team-oriented work environment where you are paid to make a difference. Beyond the $17.00 per hour rate, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your mental and physical wellbeing in a diverse and inclusive environment. Benefits include access to pay when you need it through DailyPay, medical insurance coverage for you and your family, mental health resources, and best-in-class Paid Time Off (PTO).
We also offer the Go Hilton travel program (100 nights of discounted travel), parental leave, a 401K plan with company match, and an employee stock purchase program. Team Members have access to debt-free education through a partnership with Guild Education, including college degrees and professional certifications, alongside career growth and development opportunities and recognition programs.
Hilton is proud to support the mental and physical wellbeing of all Team Members. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE/AA/Disabled/Veterans) committed to a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive personally and professionally.
