Our Early Learning Centers and programs provide high-quality care for children during the critical first 2,000 days of life. We operate seven high-quality early learning centers, serving children birth through five years old, in Cleveland and the inner-ring suburbs. Because of our high standards, all sites achieved a 5-Star rating on the Step-Up-To-Quality Rating and have been recognized and selected to be part of Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) and PRE4CLE.
This Substitute position plays an important role in advancing our mission and supporting the communities we serve. Substitute Teacher Assistants and Substitute Teachers may be asked to work at any one of the six facilities in Cuyahoga County where The Centers provide Early Learning programs and services.
In this role, you will work under the guidance of classroom teachers to facilitate indoor and outdoor educational activities and child care routines tailored to the identified needs of individuals and groups of children. You will independently work one-on-one with children with special needs assigned to the classroom, ensuring they receive the support necessary to thrive. Your day will involve assisting with the delivery, preparation, and distribution of daily meals, materials, and equipment, as well as cleaning eating areas after each meal. You will also take point-of-service meal counts, ensure children have adequate time to eat, and support other classrooms to maintain target staffing levels.
