About Young Life

Young Life is a Christian organization dedicated to evangelism and discipleship. Our mission is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and minister as servants of God. We believe that every employee and volunteer is an integral part of this Christian mission.

All employees are required to sign a Statement of Faith and subscribe to the policies required of all staff. We seek individuals who profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. During both working and non-working hours, staff are expected to be ready to fulfill ministry functions, refrain from conduct that detracts from biblical standards, and abide by all organizational policies.

About the Role

This position is designed to foster spiritual growth, develop leadership, and directly engage with youth in a ministry setting. The role exists to equip leaders, fuel the ministry through resource development, and proclaim the gospel through direct contact work.

You will be responsible for developing a personal spiritual growth plan, maintaining active church relationships, and leading teams in spiritual development. A key part of your day will involve recruiting, training, and supervising volunteer leaders to build a team that reflects the community. You will also model excellence in contact work, clubs, Campaigners, and camping.

In addition to ministry functions, you will engage in resource development by raising financial support and communicating ministry updates to donor partners. You will participate in leadership teams to conduct clubs and discipleship ministries, implement summer and school-season camping strategies, and potentially serve on summer staff at Young Life properties. The role also involves administrative support, including adhering to policies, setting yearly goals, and managing expense reports.

Hiring and Training Process

Selected candidates will work through job assignments under the supervision of an area director or assigned mentor. The training process is designed to develop personal spiritual maturity and enhance character.

• Area Training: You will receive individualized training to gain competency in ministry skills (e.g., The 5 C's) and become familiar with area strategy and ministry health.
• Regional Training: Certain regional training events may be required at the regional director's prerogative.
• Discipleship: You will take advantage of Young Life discipleship experiences, such as summer staff opportunities and adventure camping.
