The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is dedicated to managing and protecting the state's renewable natural resources, including all wildlife and aquatic life. This position serves as a Student within the Office of Management and Finance Division. As a student employee, you will support the department's administrative functions by filing information in employee records and assisting with miscellaneous projects. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a state agency while maintaining your academic progress.
To qualify for this position, you must be a student enrolled in an accredited Louisiana college, university, or state-operated technical college. You must be classified as a full-time student under your school's criteria, or be in your final two semesters and taking the courses needed to graduate, even if not full-time. Verification of enrollment from the university will be required upon hire. Students do not need to be registered during summer sessions to maintain student status; however, if graduating in the spring semester, proof of enrollment for the fall semester must be received to continue employment under the student employment program.
This is a part-time, unclassified student position that reports in-office. The role averages 20 hours per week, though the number of hours may vary depending on the time of year. Regular attendance is an essential job function.
