About the Team
Samsung Ads Engineering is seeking a Sr. Director to lead three complementary disciplines—AI Experience (AIX), Developer Experience (DevEx), and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)—that collectively raise the productivity ceiling of the entire Service Business Teams (SBT) organization. This role operates at the intersection of technology, process, and people, ensuring that Samsung Ads' AI initiatives are grounded in strong developer and operational foundations.
AIX acts as an umbrella initiative across all SBT functions, not just engineering. It identifies, prioritizes, and distributes AI-powered productivity solutions, embedding capabilities into existing SaaS tools like Salesforce, Slack, and Atlassian, and putting AWS Bedrock-backed tools in the hands of every employee. The goal is to remove toil, improve decisions, and accelerate output organization-wide.
DevEx zooms in specifically on engineering teams with a listening-first approach. Rather than assuming AI is the solution to every problem, this discipline surfaces and eliminates systematic friction patterns—such as inefficient practices, fragmented communications, and slow build pipelines—treating developer experience as a measurable, improvable product.
SRE applies a similar operating model to service reliability, emphasizing observability, data-driven prioritization, and an enablement model. This team partners with engineering groups to embed reliability practices, define SLOs, and build organizational habits that protect uptime and business continuity.
All three disciplines share a common posture: they identify patterns, prioritize interventions, enable teams, and measure outcomes. This leader must hold all three lanes, build a coherent strategy, and communicate their collective impact to senior leadership in business terms.
