The Stress Engineer will perform and verify stress, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses for primary and secondary airframe structures. This role covers a wide range of components, including pressurized and un-pressurized metallic fuselage, wings, empennage, landing gear, flight controls, and non-metallic and composite exterior and interior components and payloads. You will serve as a critical technical bridge, working closely with internal and external customers such as airframe, mechanical, propulsion, and avionics design groups, customer field service, manufacturing liaisons, and the Material Review Board (MRB). Additionally, you will coordinate with internal and external FAA Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs), vendors, and the supply chain to ensure structural integrity and certification compliance.
