The Stress Engineer is a pivotal member of our engineering team, based at our Wichita, KS office. This role is designed for a professional who brings increased levels of accountability, expertise, and leadership to the table. You will be responsible for developing creative and technically superior engineering solutions tailored to each unique project assigned.
Your day-to-day involves partnering with clients, customers, and suppliers to define project scopes and execution methodologies. You will guide projects from the conceptual stage through to detailed design, ensuring all outcomes meet rigorous customer requirements. This position requires a blend of classical hand calculations and advanced Finite Element Methods to solve complex engineering problems involving primary and secondary structures, including nacelle and EBU systems.
This role is primarily office-based at our Wichita location, utilizing standard computer workstations and office equipment. While the work involves significant analysis and report generation, it also requires active participation in review meetings and effective communication with stakeholders via phone, computer, or in-person interactions. The environment is designed to support focused analytical work while allowing for the mobility needed to collaborate within the team.
