As a Mechanical Engineer Staff (Stress Analysis), you will lead preliminary and detailed stress analysis of flight structures, mechanisms, electronic components, and ground support equipment. You will operate within a multi-disciplined team environment, performing structural design trades and driving design and analysis activities. This role is designed for those who thrive in a collaborative setting, working closely with designers to develop practical solutions that balance structural margins of safety, load paths, weight, and producibility.
In this position, you will not only perform complex modeling and analysis of test components for dynamic behavior but also provide technical mentorship to junior analysts, actively supporting knowledge transfer. You will represent the organization in design reviews and outside contracts, preparing technical charts and collaborating with programs to forecast long-term analysis needs. The role demands creativity and innovation to tackle issues related to the anomalous performance of mechanical systems, applying advanced analytical techniques to address emergent challenges.
