Street Bean Cafe is the social enterprise of New Horizons, a young adult shelter in Downtown Seattle dedicated to ending homelessness one young person at a time. Our mission is to provide hands-on, paid job training through our apprenticeship program, empowering young people with the skills and confidence to build their futures.
The Street Bean Cafe and Apprenticeship Manager serves as the bridge between exceptional coffee service and transformative human services. This unique position is designed to foster a supportive environment where operational excellence meets social impact.
You will dedicate your time to two core pillars: 40% managing the daily operations of the cafe and 60% leading the barista apprenticeship program. Your day will involve interviewing, hiring, scheduling, coaching, and supervising both baristas and apprentices, while coordinating closely with the Direct Service Team to ensure a cohesive experience for our participants.
