We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Strategic Communications Specialist to join our team in the greater DMV area, specifically supporting the Army National Guard. In this role, you will serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, shaping narrative strategy and managing reputational risk for mission and modernization priorities. You will be responsible for establishing enterprise strategic communications governance, including standards, brand alignment frameworks, and messaging policies.
Your day-to-day impact involves adjudicating high-visibility communication products, executive briefings, and public-facing materials to ensure strategic coherence and policy compliance. You will define metrics and analytics frameworks to measure messaging effectiveness and stakeholder reach, delivering executive-grade insights to guide decision-making. Beyond governance, you will coordinate cross-functional teams to align communications with operational constraints and mentor staff to institutionalize best practices in crisis and routine engagement.
