Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to join our team and assist with essential retail store operations. This role is central to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will play a vital part in maintaining a welcoming, clean, and organized environment for our community.

Day in the Life

In this position, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases. Your day will involve operating the cash register, handling both efficiently and accurately, processing cash and card payments, and bagging items for customers. Beyond the register, you will help maintain the store's appearance by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items.

You will also assist with accepting donations from the community, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. A key part of your responsibility is answering customer questions and helping maintain store cleanliness and organization. You will follow established store procedures for handling donations, pricing merchandise, and operating the register. This role offers opportunities for growth, with potential advancement into Shift Supervisor or Store Manager roles for Store Manager positions.
