The Stocker in Smallwares is the backbone of our department, ensuring that every product is packed out, stocked, and readily available for our customers. This role goes beyond simple inventory management; it is about creating a welcoming environment where every shopper feels greeted and assisted in a friendly manner. Whether helping a customer locate a specific item, providing detailed product information, or assisting with loading and off-loading goods, the Stocker plays a vital part in delivering superior customer service.
This position is performed in a dynamic warehouse setting where the ambient temperature is generally moderate. The role requires significant physical activity, including standing and walking for up to four hours at a time. Stockers must be prepared to safely lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The environment includes the movement of industrial vehicles such as forklifts, HiLos, and electric pallet jacks, requiring constant awareness and safety compliance. Additionally, the role involves climbing and descending up to 15 steps on a step ladder while carrying product, as well as maintaining various postures such as reaching above shoulder level, twisting, bending, and kneeling.
