About the Role

Walmart is seeking Stockers, Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that customers have access to the products they need. Associates play a key part in the daily rhythm of the store, handling everything from unloading trucks to organizing backroom inventory and preparing the sales floor for opening.

Day in the Life

As a Stocker or Backroom Associate, your day involves a variety of physical and organizational tasks. You will be responsible for unloading delivery trucks, sorting merchandise, and organizing items in the backroom. Using tools like pallet jacks and carts, you will move and track merchandise throughout the store using inventory systems. Your duties include stocking shelves, rotating inventory, building displays, and labeling products, and setting up promotional displays. You will also help keep the backroom and sales floor clean and organized, ensuring that the store is ready for customers.

Overnight stockers focus on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while the store is closed. This position offers opportunities for growth, with potential advancement into Team Lead or Department Manager roles.
