About the Role
Walmart is seeking Stockers, Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining an organized, well-stocked, and clean environment that enhances the shopping experience for our customers.
Day in the Life
As a Stocker or Receiving Associate, you will play a key role in the daily rhythm of the store. Your day typically involves unloading delivery trucks, sorting and organizing merchandise in the backroom, and organizing inventory in the backroom, and stocking shelves with fresh products. You will be responsible for rotating inventory to ensure freshness, building promotional displays, and labeling products accurately.
You may use equipment such as pallet jacks and carts to move merchandise throughout the store, while utilizing inventory systems to track stock levels and maintain accuracy. For those working overnight shifts, the focus is on preparing the store for opening by stocking shelves and organizing the sales floor while the store is closed.
