About the Role
The Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) serves as a critical guardian of patient safety, ensuring that all medical instruments, equipment, and supplies are meticulously cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for use across various healthcare settings. This role is fundamental to maintaining rigorous infection control standards and supporting the delivery of high-quality, safe patient care.
In this position, you will be the first line of defense against healthcare-associated infections. Your work ensures that every scalpel, forceps, and surgical tray meets the highest safety standards before entering the operating room or patient care units. You will operate a variety of sterilization technologies, manage complex inventory systems, and collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to guarantee that the right tools are available, sterile, and ready for use at the exact moment they are needed.
Compliance and Standards
Your work is guided by strict adherence to industry regulations and safety protocols. You will ensure full compliance with guidelines set forth by the Joint Commission, OSHA, and the CDC.
