About the Role
This Statistician position is a contract-to-hire opportunity (6-12+ months) designed for a professional who combines advanced statistical expertise with leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will not only possess strong programming skills in SAS and/or R but will also have a proven track record of managing staff within a Clinical Research Organization (CRO) environment.
In this role, you will serve as a critical bridge between clinical investigators, sponsors, and cross-functional teams. Your work will drive the integrity of clinical research from the initial study design phase through to the final regulatory reporting. You will be responsible for developing statistical analysis plans, generating treatment allocations for randomized studies, and implementing data safety monitoring reports to ensure participant safety. Beyond technical execution, you will collaborate with Medical Writing and Project Management teams on protocol development and generate quality control metrics to optimize the performance of clinical sites and coordinating centers.
Location & Eligibility
While this position is fully remote, candidates must be physically located in Maryland, DC, or Virginia. This role requires a high degree of independence and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts both orally and in writing.
