About the Role
Mozilla is looking for an Incident Responder to monitor and mitigate attacks across Mozilla's products and services. In this position, you will be a critical member of a flexible team responsible for handling security incidents. You will be someone Mozillians across the company depend on and trust to respond quickly and effectively in a crunch.
Your work will ensure the integrity of Mozilla's products and keep our users safe within a company dedicated to building a more secure internet. You will partner with diverse stakeholders to maintain a continuously improving feedback loop of preparation, identification, analysis, containment, and post-mortem activities. This role is vital to our mission of keeping the internet open and secure for everyone.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleIdentify and respond to security incidents on a global scale
- check_circleAct as an incident commander to drive incidents through the entire response lifecycle
- check_circleConduct threat hunting activities and anticipate future threats
- check_circleResearch threat intelligence reports and triage resulting workflows
- check_circleParticipate in on-call rotation
- check_circleDesign and maintain security alerts, automated actions, playbooks, and escalation workflows
- check_circlePartner with stakeholders to maintain feedback loops for incident preparation and post mortem activities
Requirements
- verified5+ years managing security incidents at global scale or SOC/PSIRT/CSIRT experience
- verifiedExpertise with SIEM systems (e.g., ELK, Google BigQuery, Splunk)
- verifiedExpertise with threat intelligence integration for detection engineering
- verifiedExpertise with SOAR platforms (e.g., Tines, Splunk SOAR)
- verifiedReal-world experience in software development or engineering operations
- verifiedB.S. in a technology-focused field (helpful)
- verifiedPractical experience with cloud technologies (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure, Heroku)
Nice to Have
Splunk proficiency. B.S. in a technology-focused field.
