We are partnering with a leading medical imaging services company based in San Jose, CA, to find a talented Staff Scientist with specialized ultrasound experience. This is a permanent, on-site role dedicated to advancing the performance and image quality of premium medical imaging systems.

About the Role

As a Staff Scientist (Imaging), you will serve as a key driver in optimizing imaging control parameters and transducer performance to support high-quality clinical imaging. Your work will bridge the gap between theoretical modeling and real-world clinical application, pushing the boundaries of ultrasound technology.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with experienced imaging scientists, engineers, and clinical sonographers. Your day-to-day involves refining imaging performance across multiple modes, such as B-mode and color Doppler, and exploring new approaches to enhance system capabilities. You will utilize insights from MATLAB simulations and experimental testing to configure imaging parameters, while also conducting measurements using imaging phantoms and human subjects in controlled environments.

Beyond optimization, you will play a vital role in the development of new transducer designs and imaging capabilities. By identifying unexpected imaging behaviors and collaborating with technical experts, you will ensure that system performance aligns with the evolving needs of the clinical market.
