About the Role
In this position, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patients and families through all stages of treatment. You will serve as a vital link in the care continuum, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care while adhering to the highest safety and quality standards. Your work will directly impact patient outcomes by providing safe, evidence-based direct nursing care to patients across the lifespan.
Day-to-day, you will partner with patients, families, physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and pharmacists to develop and update individualized plans of care. You will educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and health promotion strategies using clear, culturally sensitive communication. Additionally, you will coordinate care to support safe transitions and reduce readmissions, while actively participating in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleDevelop and update individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team
- check_circleAdminister medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments accurately and safely
- check_circleDocument all aspects of patient care, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
- check_circleEducate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and health promotion strategies
- check_circleCoordinate care and participate in discharge planning to support safe transitions
- check_circleRespond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
- check_circleAdhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards

Requirements
- verifiedCurrent valid RN license in the State of Ohio or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
- verifiedBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or obtained within an established timeframe
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or equivalent
- verifiedAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtained within designated timeframe, depending on unit)
- verifiedSpecialty nursing certification (e.g., CCRN, PCCN, CMSRN, CEN, or equivalent) preferred based on clinical area
- verifiedPrevious acute care or clinical practicum experience in a hospital setting preferred
Nice to Have
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or obtained within an established timeframe. Specialty nursing certification (e.g., CCRN, PCCN, CMSRN, CEN, or equivalent) preferred based on clinical area. Previous acute care or clinical practicum experience in a hospital setting preferred.
