About the Role
As a Pharmacist at Giant Eagle, you will consistently build relationships with patients, exceeding their needs by providing safe, accurate, and efficient care. This position is pivotal in achieving optimal outcomes for patients, team members, and the company. You will be responsible for performing all supporting duties to ensure the accurate and efficient dispensing of central fill patient orders, while also verifying filled prescriptions and resolving order exceptions.
Your day will involve maintaining a neat and sterile work environment to meet all company and government requirements, administering immunizations, and mentoring new team members. You will serve as a bridge between the pharmacy and outside partners, including physicians, nurses, and vendors, while continuously building professional rapport. Additionally, you will assist the Team Leader with inventory management and participate in quarterly Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) meetings to uphold production metrics and operational goals.
