About the Role
This Staff Accountant position is the financial engine for a high-volume, project-based construction business specializing in fencing and decking. The role exists to transform raw field activity into clean, decision-ready financial reporting that directly drives profitability and cash discipline.
Success in this position means delivering accurate job-level margin visibility, ensuring a reliable monthly close, and building scalable financial systems that support the company's growth. You will own the accounting workflow, managing the full cycle from journal entries and reconciliations to the preparation of P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Your day-to-day impact involves implementing and managing job costing to track labor, materials, and overhead, specifically identifying margin leakage. You will also manage accounts receivable and payable cycles to improve cash conversion and working capital timing. Beyond transactional accuracy, you will optimize accounting systems like QuickBooks to build repeatable processes for invoicing, purchasing, and reporting, while supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts with data-driven ownership.

Requirements
