About the Role

IDS is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Earned Value Management (EVM) expertise to provide acquisition and financial management support to a Department of Defense (DoD) customer. While the organization does not formally utilize a standard EVM system, this role is critical for applying EVM principles and industry best practices to strengthen cost and schedule analysis, risk assessments, forecasting, and reporting.

In this position, you will act as a bridge between complex data and strategic decision-making. You will analyze cost, schedule, and performance data in a non-EVM environment, translating those insights into practical tools and decision-support products tailored to the customer's unique needs. A key part of your day will involve reviewing acquisition planning documents for compliance, assessing contractor deliverables for accuracy, and evaluating program risks. You will also be responsible for drafting acquisition report inputs and utilizing visualization tools like Power BI to present trends and enhance stakeholder understanding. This role requires a deep understanding of DoD Space experience and the ability to develop predictive cost and schedule forecasts using methodologies from the GAO Cost Estimating & Assessment Guide.
