This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Power Generation Package Manager to join our Power & Energy Team. The candidate will be involved in projects with our Power Generation Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.
A Power Generation Package Manager oversees the full lifecycle—design, procurement, installation, and commissioning—of specific, large-scale components (e.g., turbines, electrical systems, civil works) for power projects. This role demands high-level scheduling, vendor management, and risk mitigation. You will provide high-level technical project leadership and guidance, managing the administrative, commercial, and technical components of assigned projects in accordance with WSP's core values and the level of project services agreed upon in the contract by WSP and the clients.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOversee full lifecycle of power generation packages including design, procurement, installation, and commissioning
- check_circleDevelop and manage detailed package execution plans with scope definition and resource allocation
- check_circleLead package-level schedule development and reporting to ensure alignment with master project schedules
- check_circleIdentify, track, and mitigate risks and opportunities specific to assigned project packages
- check_circleCoordinate procurement activities including supplier selection support and performance oversight
- check_circleOversee subcontractor and vendor performance ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- check_circleEstablish and drive technical review processes and adherence to QA/QC plans
- check_circleParticipate in technical aspects of contract negotiation, presentation, and meetings
- check_circleConduct project kick-off meetings and maintain regular communication with key stakeholders
- check_circleComplete formal project closeout activities and document lessons-learned meetings
- check_circleManage package budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and earned value tracking
- check_circleSupport change management processes by evaluating scope changes and their cost/schedule impacts
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related major
- verified10+ years relevant post-education experience in package/project management
- verifiedProficient understanding of project delivery process in A/E/C or EPC industry
- verifiedEssential project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAP-M) preferred
- verifiedMaster's Degree preferred
