The Senior Underwriter plays a critical role in the launch and ongoing success of Markel’s AI-driven underwriting platform. Serving as the face of broker relationships, you will ensure high-quality, consistent underwriting decisions while acting as the primary account lead. This position is ideal for an experienced casualty underwriter who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is motivated by contributing to an innovative, technology-driven platform.
In this role, you will balance your time across complex underwriting decisions, broker engagement, and refining underwriting processes. You will mentor a team of Associate Underwriters, optimizing workflow to maximize efficiency, and actively participate in improving the proposal engine to enhance automation and quote quality.
