This combined leadership position serves as the strategic owner for the Kittyhawk ERP instance and its associated bolt-on applications. The role is dedicated to ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and a compliant cyber posture across the entire database and platform ecosystem. By leveraging sophisticated automation, integrated monitoring, and metric analytics, the successful candidate will drive low incident rates and operational excellence.
You will act as the primary liaison between technical execution and business goals, aligning technology initiatives with enterprise architecture standards. This role exists to provide stability and vision for critical ERP infrastructure, ensuring that database architectures are scalable, secure, and resilient while fostering a culture of continuous professional growth within the team.
Your day will involve leading the technical vision for Oracle R12 database platforms and coordinating complex application support activities. You will oversee the planning and delivery of major initiatives, ensuring they are executed on time, on budget, and with rigorous attention to security and performance. A significant portion of your time will be spent partnering with vendors, senior leaders, and the Whittle DBA leader to synchronize solutions and manage hardware and software services.
Operational leadership is central to this role. You will lead the response to P1 incidents, coordinate patching and change management activities, and manage production outages, often requiring flexibility during working and weekend hours. You will also monitor team KPIs, manage the escalation process, and ensure compliance with critical standards such as CMMC and SOX. Beyond technical execution, you will engage with IT leadership and business stakeholders to provide transparency on risks and service improvements, while actively coaching and mentoring less experienced team members and contractors.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for this position; visa sponsorship is not available. The role requires eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled information, meaning employment is contingent upon meeting U.S. Person status (e.g., U.S. Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee). The position is remote, with an expectation of up to 30% travel. Offers are conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen.
