About the Role
This position is based at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN, with a requirement to work on-site several times per week. The role serves as a vital support function for business operations by managing the end-to-end sourcing and procurement lifecycle. You will handle program management, competitive bidding, contract administration, and category management while ensuring the timely ordering, delivery, and inventory management of goods and services.
In this capacity, you will assist with supplier selection and onboarding, engaging in negotiations and vendor management activities. A key part of the role involves developing relationships with business stakeholders to help them navigate procurement processes effectively. You will actively utilize quality tools to identify and implement enhancements to procurement policies, systems, and vendor administration. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company procedures using appropriate systems of record.
