This position serves as a critical link between mission planning, aircraft avionics, and aeronautical navigation data. The primary mission is to trace and analyze complex navigation datasets to recommend certification for Performance-Based Navigation. You will operate with a high degree of independence, ensuring that software solutions strictly comply with CNS/ATM Performance Based Navigation and Mission Planning requirements.
In this role, you will translate operator functionality requirements into precise software system specifications. Your work involves reviewing and updating conceptual requirements, system specifications, hardware and software interface requirements, and software designs to guarantee alignment with functional needs. By applying principles of systems engineering and other engineering disciplines, you will evaluate and recommend software solutions while clarifying ambiguous requirements to drive program success.
Due to the sensitive nature of customer-related requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret clearance. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in software engineering or a related discipline, accompanied by a minimum of five years of experience. This experience must include applying DO-200 requirements to ground station software development or DO-178 requirements to aircraft software development.

Intimate knowledge of DAFIF specification, ARINC 424 specifications, and other commercial navigation database formats. Experience with SQL, Microsoft Access, and database building and manipulations. Experience with one or more object-oriented, high order software language.
