As a Sr. Manufacturing Development Engineer at our Tucson, AZ facility, you will lead and coordinate projects across extended value streams. This highly visible role involves providing technical manufacturing support to a program from early development phases through transition to production. You will leverage your knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, product technologies, and business processes to establish and execute manufacturing plans, influencing technical program decisions to support the overall value stream.
This position is an onsite role based at Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ facility. Employees in onsite roles work primarily on-site, as production and maintenance staff are essential to product development. The role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance (DoD Secret). Candidates must also be able to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Access clearance.

Ability to identify, reduce and eliminate cost, quality and schedule constraints through technical engagements along with an innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and keeps pace with advances in technology. Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE). Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines in a team environment. Experience with technical writing and interpreting and improving technical drawings and communicating technical information to different audiences. Experience with MRP systems and Manufacturing Readiness Assessments. Bachelor's Degrees in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Current DoD security clearance (secret).
