About RTX and Raytheon

At RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, 185,000 great minds are united by purpose to solve the world’s most complex problems. With three market-leading businesses and world-class operations, we push the boundaries of known science to connect and protect our world.

We deliver solutions that help our nation and allies defend freedoms, creating a safer, more secure world. Join us to help shape the future of aerospace and defense.

About the Role

As a Sr. Manufacturing Development Engineer, you will lead and coordinate projects across extended value streams, providing technical manufacturing support from early development phases through transition to production. This highly visible role leverages your technical knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, product technologies, and business processes to establish and execute manufacturing plans while influencing technical program decisions.

You will serve as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program, collaborating with multi-disciplined teams to design, control, and improve product producibility. Your work will involve resolving constraints, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that objectives in cost, efficiency, and quality are met.

Hiring Process and Application

This position is posted as an onsite role based at Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ facility. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid, or remote.

The application window is anticipated to close approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted, though this may vary based on candidate flow and business necessity. Please review the role type definition before applying: Onsite roles require employees to work primarily onsite, as production and maintenance staff are essential to product development.

Security and Clearance Requirements

This role requires U.S. citizenship, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. An active and existing DoD Secret security clearance is required after day one. Additionally, candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Access clearance. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

Equal Opportunity Employer

RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status, or any other applicable state or federal protected class. RTX provides affirmative action in employment for qualified individuals with a disability and protected veterans in compliance with Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act.

Our values—Safety, Trust, Respect, Accountability, Collaboration, and Innovation—drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
