As a Sr. Manufacturing Development Engineer, you will lead and coordinate projects across extended value streams, providing technical manufacturing support from early development phases through transition to production. This highly visible role leverages your technical knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, product technologies, and business processes to establish and execute manufacturing plans while influencing technical program decisions.
You will serve as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program, collaborating with multi-disciplined teams to design, control, and improve product producibility. Your work will involve resolving constraints, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that objectives in cost, efficiency, and quality are met.
This position is posted as an onsite role based at Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ facility. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid, or remote.

This role requires U.S. citizenship, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. An active and existing DoD Secret security clearance is required after day one. Additionally, candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Access clearance. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE). Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines in a team environment. Experience with technical writing and interpreting and improving technical drawings and communicating technical information to different audiences. Experience with MRP systems and Manufacturing Readiness Assessments. Bachelor's Degrees in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Current DoD security clearance (secret).
