As a Sr. Manufacturing Development Engineer, you will lead and coordinate projects and improvements across the extended value streams. In this highly visible role, you will leverage your technical knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, product technologies, and factory requirements to establish and execute the manufacturing plan. You will influence technical program decisions to support the overall program value stream, serving as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program.
This position is based at Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ facility and is an onsite role. Employees in onsite roles work primarily on-site, as they are essential to the development of our products. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplined team to design, control, and improve the producibility of products, ensuring factory readiness and resolving constraints across the program.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance (DoD Secret). U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

Ability to identify, reduce and eliminate cost, quality and schedule constraints through technical engagements along with an innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and keeps pace with advances in technology. Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE). Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines in a team environment. Experience with technical writing and interpreting and improving technical drawings and communicating technical information to different audiences. Experience with MRP systems and Manufacturing Readiness Assessments. Bachelor's Degrees in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Current DoD security clearance (secret).
Skills: Manufacturing Process Development, Design For Manufacturing, Manufacturing Data Packages, Tool And Fixture Designs, Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing, GD&T, Cad Solid Modeling, Creo, Proe, MRP Systems.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in STEM required with minimum 5 years experience; Bachelor's in specific engineering fields preferred.
