The Communications team at General Motors focuses on impact and transformation through storytelling. As broad thinkers and team-first experts, we partner across the business to lead with insight and use communications to create value for the enterprise. Our mission is relentless, centered on our customers and the goal of a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion.
General Motors is seeking a strategic, creative communications leader to shape how our technology story is understood by media, industry stakeholders, and key audiences. As the Sr. Manager Communications, Product and Technology, you will lead communications for GM's product technology portfolio, including autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, and software. This role plays a critical part in advancing GM's reputation as a technology company.
You will partner closely with engineering, product, and business teams to turn complex technical work into clear, compelling stories that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with sharp media instincts and executive communications experience, capable of working cross-functionally to launch products and shape narratives that drive business results.
This position will help define how GM tells one of its most important stories: its transformation into a technology-driven innovator. The right leader will combine sound judgment, technical fluency, and modern storytelling to help audiences understand what GM is building and why it matters. Every day, we believe we must make a choice individually and collectively to drive meaningful change through our words, deeds, and culture, ensuring every employee feels they belong to one General Motors team.
