The Payments and Accounting Technology team is responsible for advancing the payments and accounting ecosystem to support the ever-expanding business needs of Parks Commercial Platforms. We own and operate 30+ production backend and frontend services powering payment processing, fraud detection, gift card management, and card issuance across Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Store, and other Disney properties.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute hands-on within the Payments and Accounting Technology team, bridging the gap between complex backend logic and intuitive frontend experiences. This role is designed for forward-thinking engineers who are passionate about delivering quality products at scale and embracing AI-assisted development practices.

You will work closely with business partners on both strategic and tactical challenges, ensuring production incident response and delivery excellence go hand in hand. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment where you will actively participate in the implementation of solutions for complex technical problems, ranging from Java microservices to Angular UI applications. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, drive platform modernization, and identify safe injection points for AI/ML in payment and fraud systems.
