About the Role
This position serves as a strategic advisor within the security governance landscape, bridging the gap between complex Federal and Department of Defense (DoD) requirements and organizational implementation. The role exists to ensure that information systems and shared services maintain robust security postures while adhering to a rigorous regulatory framework. You will act as a liaison between project Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), Enterprise Shared Services, and business development teams, ensuring that governance strategies align seamlessly with the evolving needs of Federal and DoD customers.
In this capacity, you will navigate the intersection of policy, risk, and technology. Your day-to-day involves translating technical security mandates into understandable business terms, advising system owners on policy development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance organizational governance. The role demands a high degree of initiative and judgment, requiring you to develop solutions for complex problems while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Requirements

- verifiedStrong understanding of Federal requirements (FISMA, FIPS, CMMC, NIST 800-171, 800-53, 800-60, 800-65)
- verifiedExperience with Federal and DoD GRC tools (CFACTS, CSAM, eMASS)
- verifiedSkilled in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and Lucid
Nice to Have
Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CISA, or GRC / audit or risk certifications. Experience supporting security governance for organizations using FedRAMP'd CSO's as it pertains to system-specific and hybrid controls. RMF and A&A experience.
