This position serves as a strategic partner in navigating the complex landscape of Federal and Department of Defense (DoD) security governance. You will act as a bridge between technical security requirements and business objectives, ensuring that organizational policies align with rigorous federal mandates. The role is critical for maintaining the security posture of systems supporting government clients, requiring a deep understanding of the regulatory environment and the ability to translate complex federal language into actionable business strategies.
In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with Enterprise Information System Security Officers (ISSO), project ISSOs, and Business Development teams. Your work will directly influence how governance is applied to shared services and how the organization prepares for prospective contracts. You will be responsible for advising system owners on security policies, supporting the development of doctrine, and keeping the organization ahead of emerging security technologies. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment where considerable judgment and initiative are required to solve complex problems involving vendor assessments, risk registers, and continuous governance management.
Candidates selected for this opportunity will undergo a multi-stage evaluation designed to assess both technical expertise and cultural fit. The process typically includes an initial screening to verify clearance eligibility and qualifications, followed by in-depth interviews focusing on security governance experience, risk analysis capabilities, and familiarity with Federal frameworks. Final candidates may engage in scenario-based discussions to demonstrate their ability to align security policies with DoD and Federal customer requirements.
