This position serves as a strategic partner in safeguarding Federal and Department of Defense (DoD) information systems. You will bridge the gap between complex security governance requirements and practical business implementation, ensuring that organizational policies align with rigorous federal standards. The role is critical for maintaining the security posture of shared services and supporting the Enterprise Information System Security Officer (ISSO) in navigating the evolving landscape of cybersecurity regulations.
In this capacity, you will not only analyze risk but also translate technical security mandates into understandable business terms for stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with project ISSOs, business development teams, and capture groups to ensure that both existing and prospective contracts meet the necessary governance frameworks. Your work will directly influence how the organization manages vendor assessments, enterprise risk registers, and security awareness training from a federal perspective.
You will operate in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment where considerable judgment and initiative are required daily. Success in this role demands the ability to execute complex tasks simultaneously, balancing independent work with deep collaboration across a broad range of staff. You will be expected to network with key contacts outside your immediate area of expertise and develop solutions for a variety of complex security challenges.
