This position serves as a strategic partner in navigating the complex landscape of Federal and Department of Defense (DoD) security governance. You will act as a bridge between technical security requirements and business objectives, ensuring that organizational policies align with rigorous federal mandates. The role is designed for a seasoned professional who can translate complex NIST verbiage into understandable business terms while maintaining the highest standards of Information Assurance.
In this capacity, you will not only assess risk but also shape the security posture of systems supporting critical government customers. Your day-to-day involves collaborating with Enterprise and Project Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), Business Development teams, and shared services to harmonize governance activities. You will be instrumental in vendor assessments, enterprise risk registers, and the ongoing management of security awareness and training programs.
Working within a dynamic environment that supports Federal and DoD customers, the team is dedicated to maintaining robust security postures through proactive governance. The mission centers on ensuring compliance with a wide array of federal requirements, including FISMA, CMMC, and various NIST standards (800-171, 800-53, 800-60, 800-65). Success in this role requires a deep understanding of FedRAMP controls and the ability to adapt security frameworks to both system-specific and hybrid environments.
Candidates must review the additional information section of the job requisition to determine specific clearance eligibility requirements. The hiring process values candidates who can demonstrate strong judgment, initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of staff. We seek individuals who can navigate a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment while executing complex tasks both independently and as part of a team.
