The Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) and the Batten School of Coastal & Marine Sciences are dedicated to seeking and broadly communicating knowledge in marine and coastal science. Through research, education, and advisory service, the institution makes seminal advances in understanding coastal and marine systems, translating findings into practical solutions for complex societal issues, and educating the next generation of researchers and problem solvers.
Within this ecosystem, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) serves as a critical partner to researchers across the institution. The OSP team facilitates every aspect of proposal submission and provides deep expertise in both pre-award and post-award services. Acting as stewards for the Institute's overall research efforts, the office ensures researchers have the best opportunity to successfully obtain and manage external awards.
